An excellent stay

We had an excellent stay at this establishment.
The strong points
- the decoration is authentic with a lot of charm
- good dishes from the restaurant and an excellent breakfast
- welcoming and professional staff
The weak spots
- the breakfast room is small and quickly saturated if the hotel is full
- the mattress was not very comfortable
We will happily return to this hotel and I recommend it for its warm atmosphere and its restaurant.

Very nice hotel

Very nice hotel in a great location in the heart of Sumava. The restaurant was also very nice, very good food, big portions and nice staff. We stayed here four days and were very satisfied with everything. The hotel is older, but very romantic.

Stop for a late lunch

On the way from the trip, we settled on warm soup. Unfortunately, the dead atmosphere and the tired attitude of the waiter did not create a very good impression, which was not corrected by the soup, which did not offend, but did not excite, but did not match the price at all. The homemade lemonade was very cheated, the taste was bland. Disappointing for us.

Going back 25 years

An open-air museum from the turn of the nineties and early zeroes, both in terms of the interior and the behavior of the staff. For dinner, a selection of fried goodies, I prefer not to even talk about breakfast, when we saw it, we preferred to go to the cafe next door. There is one TV in the entire hotel, but no one can turn it on and basically they are not interested in you at all. And we paid 5 thousand per night for the suite. Well, I don't see a single reason to ever go back.

PRETTY NICE

Hotel is located right next to busy road, but it is busy only during the day - and you will probably be away. They have quite big parking place on the opposite side of the road. Our room was big and clean (little bit dated), thankfully we were above the restaurant so the wifi was working. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Each food we had in their restaurant was simply amazing and yummy, don´t have any complaint. Also breakfast was always great with many options - just didn´t like the coffe... but I guess "breakfast coffee" in hotels are all bad :-) As far as I remember there was also a kid room.
I rented bike in the hotel and we went for a ride... there are many beautiful roads for riding and walking. Šumava is very different from Giant mountains, where I am living.
I had just one issue and it was with the kids there.... I am 100% sure that they were the owner´s kids/kid... because their behaviour was horrible... slaming doors all the time, yelling and behaving simply "bratish" - I also grew up in the hotel and I had to be respectfull....
Overall very nice experience...
