Perfect lodging for biking in great agri-surroundings
My wife and I, both over 70, had our usual biking holiday week in Germany the last week of june 2015, this time choosing the area south of Bremen. And Spargelhof in Sudwalde surpassed our expectations. Placed as far south as we could reach in one day's driving, starting with the early morning ferry Kristiansand-Hirtshals, with the bikes on back of the car and vital help from our GPS, we arrived at Spargelhof just inside the 8-o'clock time limit for booking in. The very friendly and helpful hostess, mrs. King, had us installed in the spacious cabin in the garden, where we lacked none of the modern amenities for a comfortable, selfsupported household.She also directed us to the local authorities for biking routes, and followed us to the local car repair shop where we could buy a new set of tyres for our car at a bargain price compaired to home.
Also worth mentioning is the 8m pool just beside the cabin; wonderful to dive in coming sweaty back from a day's biking !
