Lovely and peaceful gorgeous Seaside views
Staying at Alkioni Studios was an absolute joy. I stayed in Studio 11, which was truly lovely — full of rustic charm, beautifully simple, and equipped with everything needed for both cooking and complete relaxation. The studio was spotless, comfortable, and immediately felt like a peaceful retreat.
What truly elevates Alkioni Studios is the setting. Perched on a cliff above the sea, the views are nothing short of breathtaking. You can see and hear the waves from your terrace, and the serenity of the place is sublime. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful escape surrounded by nature, this is exactly where you want to be.
A special mention must go to Angelika and Takis, who were wonderful, caring hosts. They always had time for a friendly chat, shared local recommendations, and made the stay feel personal and welcoming. Their warmth is a big part of what makes Alkioni Studios so memorable.
It’s worth noting that the studios are about a 20‑minute drive from the port of Karlovasi, so renting a car is highly recommended. The distance, however, is part of the magic — the remoteness adds to the beauty and tranquility of the place. With a car, you’re only 15 minutes from Karlovasi, and there’s also a lovely fish restaurant within walking distance, as well as the charming hilltop village of Agios Dimitrios, just a short 15‑minute walk away.

very bad
The only good thing is the view,
Room very small (maybe that's why there were no photos of interior rooms on the website). Kitchen and bathroom non-functional (e.g. it needed to be mopped after the shower). Balcony with normal space for a single seat. Internet almost non-existent and hopelessly slow (on the website it is referred to as "fast").Phone line only occasionally available.Access relatively difficult (a map would help...).We asked for mosquito repellent tablets and were given 3 for 6 nights....We asked for a hair dryer, stated to be available, and were given one unacceptably dirty, as was the old kitchen sponge. Zero service. After 4 nights we had to protest to have the sheets changed and bins emptied. Excuse: "We can't find a woman". 53 steps to our room. The only other alternative it was 33 steps. But while they said they would change our room, they didn't. Some, like us, have problems that they are not allowed to climb so many stairs with 40 degrees... Shouldn't it have been mentioned, even verbally, in our telephone communication that there are at least 33 steps?
And the most important:
When we were leaving, the pos was not working. We proposed to pay the next day through a bank, giving the details of our identity card. nobody from here without paying..."

Peace
Spectacular view, just over the cliffs. Nice and clean wooden based rooms. Very friendly owners who are a small family runs the business. No breakfast served but you have stuff to prepare yourself. Colorful floors and really nice to watch sunset here

A lovely peacefull place
Alkioni Studios was a real nice surprice! Very clean and comfortable rooms in a wunderfull natural setting right at the sea. Angelika and Tasis are extremely friendly and helpfull. I really recommend this place!

Soectecular view
Spectecular view, very friendly hosts. Far from crowded city center, an absolute perfect sea panaroma. It could be a little hard to find the place. Doesn't have a breakfast option.
Take fly repellent with you which is quite important.
