A wonderful family-run hotel in beautiful Carinthia
This is exactly the kind of family-run hotel we love: warm, welcoming and genuinely friendly. The owners are incredibly kind, always smiling and always ready to help. You immediately feel at home.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the location is excellent, just a few minutes from beautiful Lake Millstätter See, and the breakfasts are absolutely delicious – definitely one of the highlights of our stay!
Another big plus for us: the hotel is dog-friendly, and our dog was made to feel very welcome too.
Millstatt and the whole Carinthia region are simply beautiful, and staying at Hotel Nikolasch made our visit even more memorable. Lovely people, a great atmosphere and a wonderful family hotel. Highly recommended!

A place full of warmth and genuine hospitality on Lake Millstatt
we really enjoyed our stay with you in Millstatt and would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
The hospitality that we were able to experience with you is truly something very special – warm, attentive, and at the same time very professional. You can feel in every moment that your house is run with a lot of love and genuine family passion. It is precisely this personal atmosphere that makes the stay so pleasant and unique.
The location right on the lake is dreamlike, and the hotel's own beach area is beautifully maintained and a perfect place to relax.
The hotel itself also has a very special charm: not modern and interchangeable, but full of character, history, and warmth – maintained with great dedication and attention to detail. Everything is very clean, tidy, and harmonious. We lacked nothing!
We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back.

Perfectly successful family vacation
we had an all-around perfect stay! Right from check-in, we were warmly welcomed and felt immediately at home. The room was clean and offered a breathtaking view of the lake. We would especially like to highlight the breakfast – fresh, diverse, and prepared with a lot of love. The entire team was always helpful and accommodating. We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

Come and feel very comfortable!
Very clean, well maintained, with great location and lake view.
The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, even who likes a sparkling wine breakfast, the rooms spacious, clean, with everything you need!

Good Fall , Winter and Spring overnight stay along the Millstättersee .
Bicycle trail around the Millstättersee . Very good inside secure bicycle storage . Owner /manager very helpful and friendly .
Room 108 had great view and nice balcony along the busy highway but to keep room cool the door had to kept open which was a problem due to road noise all day and night as well . No A/C nor fan available. In the summer this would be a major deterrent to a pleasant stay .
Walking distance to many good restaurants as well as a large market .
No coffee/tea availability in room .
The breakfast was very good with a plethora of great food choices .
Biggest problem was absolutely horrible WiFi reception in our room :
Had to leave room , go down to lobby to get any signal . This may have been a problem unique to our room but was a real hassle .
The pro’s did not overwhelm the con’s and probably would not stay here again .
