The worst I've ever seen
It's a 1 star hostel that I don't even understand how you have permission to be open. It's filthy, old, broken and dirty and not in one room, because we were 5 couples and there was something in them all.
In ours the bedspread had stains and the cushions were blackened and stained with makeup, we had a white Nordic stored in the closet, with dark spots. The paint around the window was scalded and the rails dirty. In the bathroom, the bathtub with shower curtain and is with a rusty bar and with insulating tape. They left us 2 bottles of shampoo, no gel, no hand soap. Towels should be brought there since they opened because some had holes. The foot of the sink attached to the wall with wires.
We didn't leave because there were so many of us and finding accommodation on the December bridge the same day for 10 was difficult, but if you are thinking of booking you have time to change, I assure you that you will thank me

Painful
We made a reservation by phone in October, for the 8th of November. What is our surprise, when we arrive to check in and there is no reservation made. We found 8 people in Merida, without accommodation. The reception boy, not empathetic. He was telling us it was our fault for not confirming the reservation, which they should do. The time we were at reception, all the customers passing by, was to give complaints, or leave the room early. They're informal.

The location is perfect. You're right in the middle. However...
The sheets had hair and cigar holes, the quilt was like stained with paint drops.
The tiny bathroom, the shower practically inaccessible and the toilet moved.
All it includes is a small shampoo bottle. Not even a paltry hand gel.
The front desk officer was never there.
A lot of noise. Both inside the hostel (noise of people and dogs barking and crying), and outside (party, voices).

A bit to improve but great price
The staff is very friendly although the reception is often closed. The room was large, the bathroom immense, but the shower was really uncomfortable, especially for tall people. Structure a bit old and wall falling apart a bit. But really low price.

Not recommended
Sorry to book you. The windows wouldn't close, quilts stained and with cigar holes. Very old bathroom. lack of cleaning. It's the worst hostel we've ever been to.
